With ADA® & designcraft
As part of the 2018 Design Canberra Festival this November, Tait were pleased to support “HOME.GROWN. Discovering Australian Design” hosted by the AUTHENTIC DESIGN ALLIANCE® and designcraft. With a stellar panellist line-up of Australian designers including Tait & NAU designers Adam Goodrum and Adam Cornish as well as emerging designer Christina Bricknell, guests were treated to an enthralling discussion moderated by ADA® Director, Anne-Maree Sargeant.
A must-see on the Design Canberra events calendar, a bevvy of guests from Canberra’s tight-knit design industry turned out for the event. Held at designcraft’s breathtaking, iconic double-storey showroom in Hume, guests were treated to an array of locally-sourced wine and provedore throughout the evening.
Introduced by designcraft’s Director Bob Fenderson, the Q&A style discussion unpacked why investing in Australian design is good for all of us. Delving further, each panellist recounted the importance of why we must value the commitment and ingenuity of the creators, brands and distributors of Australian designed collections. With record numbers of Australian designers currently engaged in a record number of home-grown projects, it proved evident that locally created Australian products are commanding greater currency than ever before.
