Mornington Peninsula, Victoria
“Luxury reimagined” – two words that define Jackalope as the new landmark, boutique hotel located on the Mornington Peninsula.
This masterpiece is the brainchild of its owner Louis Li as an attempt to combine his passions of art, design, food and storytelling, all under one roof. Ensuring a host of top Melbourne creatives were enlisted for the project, Carr Design Group masterminded its imposing architecture and interiors while both Tait and Zuster were specified for the furniture; notably a selection of Breeze Modular settings to reside on the balcony of each hotel room that overlook the vines and beyond.
Outside, the breathtaking landscapes of Taylor Cullity Lethlean incorporate a palatial yoga lawn and a 30-metre infinity pool – the latter surrounded by an array of custom Linear Sunlounges in Black Ace to complement the sultry tones of the imposing modern, black building that stretches above the vineyard in the background. As a bespoke specification, Tait delivered not only the standard single-bed Linear Sunlounge but also a decadent dose of custom-made double day beds, too.
