Warm Coastal Living

Autumn House represents ‘A modern approach to creating a coastal home,’ explains Leah Rispoli, owner of Hemma Interiors, ‘one that moves away from traditional cooler whites.’ The architectural vision centres on creating spaces that feel both inviting and enduring. ‘We aimed to create the overall feel of being inviting, and grounded,’ she notes. ‘Giving the home a warmth that feels timeless yet natural.’ This philosophy extends through every detail, from the carefully selected natural stone and timber finishes to the custom joinery that defines the interior.

Organic Textures

Materials were chosen for their ability to age gracefully within the rhythm of family life. Warm timber veneers and textured surfaces contribute to environments where ‘Textures are organic and tactile and encourage easy barefoot living.’ These natural finishes provide the perfect backdrop for our Trace Dining Table, Tidal Chairs, Trace Sofa, Trace Coffee Table, Trace Armchairs, Lily Tray Table and Trace Sunlounge, which anchor the outdoor living zones with refined comfort.

Comfort & Craftsmanship

For the exterior spaces, two clear objectives guided the selection: comfort and craftsmanship. ‘Tait’s range felt like a natural selection to meet this brief,’ the designer explains. The decision also aligned seamlessly with the home’s commitment to Australian makers – the residence features furniture and artworks by local artists throughout.

Flowing from interior to exterior, the home creates generous spaces for gathering and retreat, a study in material integrity and considered design. Thoughtful details—from custom window reveals to carefully positioned outdoor zones—ensure the residence meets the demands of family life while maintaining a sense of calm and connection to the coastal landscape.
