Rina and Kelly formed bernabeifreeman in 2002 and their range of lighting, textiles and furniture has been widely published and exhibited, including at the Powerhouse Museum, Salone del Mobile and The Milan Triennale.

They have won numerous design awards, including IDEA awards for product design and the Bombay Sapphire Design Discovery Award. bernabeifreeman continue to research the relationships end users have with the products they live with, emphasising the importance of the longevity of products for sustainability in design.

Daniel . Emma (Daniel To and Emma Aiston) established their design studio
DANIEL . EMMA in 2008, to enable us to express our thoughts through Industrial Design.

Daniel . Emma work on a large variety of projects, ranging from desk objects to installations. looking to create the unexpected from simple objects using simple forms, drawing influence and insight from the diverse culture that Australia has to offer.

They aim for their designs to be ‘just nice’.


Justin Hutchinson

Justin Hutchinson is a Melbourne-based industrial designer, lecturer and urban innovator who is a firm believer in the positive value of design.

Justin Hutchinson’s experience with outdoor products and environmental design sparked  his research into the duality between the manufactured and the natural environment — designing for longevity and ultimately trying to forge a way for the man-made to co-exist with the natural environment. As Design Director of Urban Commons, a cross-disciplinary design consultancy committed to reviving the spirit of the commons in our urban spaces, he strives for considered urban solutions to high density living through technological and social innovation.


Ross Gardam

Ross Gardam has worked solidly in environmental, interior and retail design, delivering design solutions to a diverse range of clients.  Since graduating in industrial design at Monash University in 1999, Gardam has worked both in Australia and abroad across a range of design disciplines for a number of large commercial firms.

Having spent two years in London establishing Spaceleft design company, Designer Ross Gardam returned to Melbourne in 2007 with a commitment to grow and establish the young business. Spaceleft specialises in the design of products and spaces from furniture and lighting to retail and interior.
