Your favourites of 2025

Our made to order collections are offered in a curated palette of 22 powder coat colours, inspired by the Australian landscape. We also work with some of the best fabric houses in the world, to find the most beautiful high-performance upholstery that will last outside in the elements. So with so many options, which were the favourites in 2025?

Powder coat colours

For powder coat colours, we’re delighted to share that the earthy yet nostalgic Coreten came in at #1, followed by the timeless Surfmist. The soft yet fresh, Pale Eucalypt came in at #3 and Banksia Leaf followed at #4. We were pleasantly surprised to see Jasper at #5, a muted grey-brown reminiscent of the dense Australian bushland forests.

“While there are consistent themes coming through, we are delighted to see a variety of colours and fabrics being chosen by our clients across the country. We love to walk through the factory and see our pieces brought to life in Cove and Mountain Blue. It inspires us for future collections and colour palettes,” shares Susan Tait, Creative Director.

Powder coat colours by state

We asked our Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane showrooms to share the top colours for their clients. It’s always fascinating to see the regional crossover and variations, however subtle:

NSW – Pale Eucalypt followed by Coreten the top colours
VIC – Banksia Leaf followed by Pale Eucalypt
QLD – Coreten and Surfmist

Upholstery top picks

Our upholsteries were a more complex tapestry. With our Rockpool Collection launching in August, Mokum’s Pahi in Oyster was a winner, along with their Ostuni in Sienna, Elba in Rosa and Soul Boucle in Pumice. People loved Maharam’s Concord Stripe in Agama, with its classic lines and bold threads, plus the rich Utopia in Water, a bright Sunflower Ribbed Weave and intricate Ladder Stripe in Sundial. Sunbrella’s Tundra in Souk, and shades of green in Source Squamarina, Slow in Spirea and Heritage Leaf were more crowd favourites.

If any of these colours have inspired you, remember all our pieces are designed for easy refurbishment. So when the time comes we encourage you to bring your Tait pieces back for disassembly, sandblasting, re-powdercoating and re-upholstering, at which time you can select a different colour palette.
