Good things come in small packages – help spread the word about Australia’s humble remedy for food security, biodiversity and climate challenges.
Read MoreOur Billy Collection has caught the jury’s eye at this year’s Interior Design Excellence Awards (IDEA), with a recent shortlist announcement. The prestigious awards program, launched in 2003, attracts hundreds of entries across Australia. So we’re delighted to be recognised!
Designed by Adam Goodrum and Tait Design Studio the collection required careful translating across a comprehensive 13-pieces. Billy calls upon nostalgic Australian suburban memories — careening down sunlit streets and the tubular metal of hills hoists and above-ground pool ladders. In short, it transports us to simpler, low-tech times and long summer days…
But Billy is no homemade hero. Highly crafted tubular stainless steel characterises the thoughtful collection. Robust and refined, Billy is made in Australia, to withstand diverse Australian climates.
The collection’s versatility shines across its different expressions and the range of finishes available. Billy pieces can be:
– electropolished
– powdercoated in a selection of 20 UV-stable satin or textured colours
– in a sustainable Accoya timber option (with a range of six environmentally responsible oil stains)
Billy’s release also coincided with the development of a completely new textured powdercoat colour. Mountain Blue is inspired by the haze emitted by Blue Gum Eucalypts west of Sydney, expanding the existing palette that draws from the Australian environment.
We’re excited to be in the running for this year’s award, and look forward to hearing the announcement in November.
